That's a somewhat embarrassing error - but it seems to me that
pgPoolAdmin should have reported such a fundamental problem, rather
than just ignoring it. PHP is generally pretty vocal about missing
modules unless the errors are explicitly suppressed.

Anyway, thanks! That seems to have fixed the problem.
