Thank you for the reply and I understand your reasons for not being able to include the python sample scripts in the repository. :)
However, I uploaded my failover and failback scripts to a public Github repository, so if anyone needs them, they can stumble across it through Google searches and I would also like to share the link here in case anyone in this mailing list is interested in using it or just giving some feedback - https://github.com/AnirudhGoel/pgpool-python-scripts.
