Thank you for the report.
It is possible that the segfault has been already fixed by this commit:

Therefore next minor release, i.e. Pgpool-II 4.4.3 will include the fix.
If you are in a hurry, please grab the latest source code from git
repository and test it. If not, as we plan to release the next minor
releases on May 18, which will include Pgpool-II 4.4.3, please wait
the release.
