<p>I am using pgpool and repmgr</p>
<p>I did a failover that worked perfectly, then I reset the failed
node to be a standby via pg_basebackup and 'repmgr standby
register' however once I do that I can no longer connect to pgpool
until I restart it, even a pcp_reload_config did not help</p>

<p>Is it possible to inform pgpool of the new standby<br>
</p>
